Drink up

As part of our drive to do Center Parcs on the cheap next week, Mrs H and I have even toyed with the idea of making our short break a booze-free zone.

I don't remember this proposal actually getting the sign off, but it was definitely considered.

I'm a big fan of the Mirror's Brian Reade and agree with lots of what he has to say. His article today on the propaganda war that being carried out by the Anti-Beer and Wine League is top stuff. It's great to hear somebody sticking up for those of us (a vast majority surely) who think 21 units a week for men and 14 (yep, that was 14) for women cannot be classified by any sane person as excessive.

All of which makes it more likely now that a crate of Peroni and a bottle of Cloudy Bay will sneak into the boot of the Espace by the time we set off next week.
