Anyone with a vague interest in young working class culture pre 1990, particularly in Liverpool, will have heard of The End.
The Farm's Peter Hooton and some other lads put together the city's most famous fanzine throughout the 1980s, focusing on football, fashion, beer and, occasionally, some other stuff.
Someone set up a presence on Facebook for The End a while ago and it's worth tracking down if that's your thing (yes, believe it or not, I know some people who are still not on Facebook and never will be).
But to make things even easier, some kindly soul has started loading up material over at The End Fanzine blog. There have only been a few posts so far but hopefully new content will get added. There was talk about old issues of The End being republished but, as far as I'm aware, that hasn't happened yet so the blog is probably as good as you'll get for now.
I was particularly taken with a video featuring the lads behind The End being interviewed by John Peel on the Oxford Road Show. Peter Hooton looks about 12 in the clip. Maybe he was.
